Water Temperature Open - Heater won’t fire up

My Jandy Aqualink wall controller reads Water Temperature Open so can’t get a reading on my water temp and when I went to turn on the heater, it just stayed on the “enabled” position and never came on. Not sure if related but didn’t have an issue with the heater before the water temp issue. Coincidence or related? I ordered a new sensor so need to replace it but hoping to hear that will also fix my heater issue.. thanks in advance !

The Aqualink will not run the heater without the water temperature..

Replace the water temperature sensor and your heater should work.
