It was even better because I wrecked my ankle doing it, too. I literally tripped on nothing, twisted the bujeezsus out of my ankle, and fell in the pool. I got a fancy boot and a scooter for a week.

I so imagine this happening to me every time I go on the pool deck in the winter. I am always super cautious when fiddling with the pool while the cover is on - I landed in a boot last year because I also tripped over nothing but my own toes.

I fell into my pool last year in March by accident. Water temps in the high 40s. That was miserable. Anyone who would willingly get into an ice bath has a few screws loose.
