I have a Hayward filter with the water pressure gauge located on the multi-port valve. The sand filter also has a threaded hole at the center of it's dome shaped top cover. I'm thinking of moving the gauge from the multi-port valve to the top of the filter to make it easier to read.
Up until now the top of the filter has had a thumb-screw plug which I have been opening to bleed air from the system when it stats up. Now I'm wondering if I move the gauge there will it work correctly or might it get an air lock? Does anyone have a gauge on the top of the sand filter cover?
Mike.
