Water level dropping

Quick back story: We live in AR. A couple of months ago, our water level dropped a lot, about a foot or so below the skimmer. We watched it until it appeared to stop dropping and then looked for a cut or tear in the liner but not seeing one, we filled the pool again. The water level remained until this weekend and it started dropping again. It is now below the skimmer and has dropped a little more than an inch since this morning. The pump was turned off yesterday morning. I am running the robot to keep the water moving. We did just put a new robotic cleaner in the pool on Thursday. Is it probable that the cleaner dislodged debris that was blocking a hole or what do you think is the reason for the water holding for so long before dropping again.

Any companies near you that could do leak detection service?

Yes, Leak Detector is nearby. We just found it very odd for the water to hold for a couple of months before dropping again. Leak Detector is pricey, but we may have to use them. They found a leak in a line several years ago. TY

How old is your liner? Suspect areas are skimmers and returns first, then the actual liner. Too bad you can’t get it to stop to aid in pinpointing one area.
