Water leaking from fill valve?

I have an interesting problem.

Every time I top off the pool using a hose, water starts to leak from what I think is the fill valve where all the pool equipment is. It only leaks when I fill via hose and stays dry the rest of the time.

I will add that I've filled up with the hose twice in a month, where before I would have to do it twice a year, so something might be up with the automatic filler. However, even if the automatic filler isn't working correctly, why would the valve leak when using a hose to put water in the pool? Any ideas?

Sorry for taking so long to come back, I've been a bit busy. So the leak in question is circled in red. I don't have a picture of the hose spigot, but it does have a backflow preventer. It's the one that threads on to the existing spigot and releases water when the hose is closed to relieve pressure.

I'm also attaching a picture of the equipment, but this photo was taken a while ago. Since this photo was taken, the salt water cell has been flipped so that it is correctly positioned according to the flow of water (thanks to someone on this forum spotting that in a previous thread).

If that fill valve at the equipment is constantly open to an auto-fill, turning on a hose will lessen the pressure in the pipe. There is a disc that pushes up at the port that goes into the ground, under that hex-shaped cover that seals when water is flowing, but drops down to allow air in so that it breaks any siphon that may occur (anti-siphon valve). The drop in pressure in the line is probably allowing the pressure on that seal to lessen just enough to allow a leak.
That cap can be un-screwed and the valve rebuilt in that area, or just to inspect the seal, it may have some debris on it.
