Had the pool since 2013. This is the first year we are doing the maintenance ourselves . We had an algae I used green to blue with the flocculant. I vacuumed out to waste. A brown powered substance was still in shallow end. I stirred it up and vacuumed out to waste again I then shocked my pool. Deep end is crystal clear. But shallow end will not clear up. Salt level 2342/ PH 7.5/ TA 120/ CH200/ CYA 60 attached picture. Help What do I do know? Been all week getting my pool ready for the kids to swim!

What test kit are you using? Is it one of the few we recommend: Test Kits Compared

You need to follow the SLAM Process.

It is very odd for the deep end to be clear and the shallow end not to be. Is all that just crud sitting on the bottom of the pool? Does it brush off?
It’s a brand Taylor. Yes that is crud laying there. I sweep it and it goes cloudy and seems to settle right back there!
