I'm closing my pool, but when draining my pool, I noticed water coming out of the return. Is this normal? Almost no water coming out when the valve set to backwash, only when set to drain. I opened up the valve, and the spider gasket seems ok, maybe very small nooks here and there but nothing major.
Maybe related, I was having a hard time this summer getting rid of small particles that settled at the bottom of the pool, a bit like very fine sand/dust. Laterals are fine and so is the standpipe.
