Is it possible for a mineral system like pool frog or nature 2 to make water soft and silky feeling like a swg system does?

Welcome to TFP!!!All those systems do is add copper (which we HIGHLY do not recommend) ... so, no, that is not going to make the water feel soft.
You can always add salt to the pool if you like to improve the feel. Some report that borates make the water feel better too.
But, if you have a proper water balance according to the TFP recommended levels, you may fine that the water feels fine to you.
