Anyhow, I have been trying to get on top of this slam in between life and the very limited availability of quality chlorine near me. Also, there might be a disclaimer that my testing drops are (cough) 2 years old and my r-o870 is black and goopy (kinda makes the chlorine test hard to read with the black flecks) .... I know I know, I just ordered fresh.
Every morning I wake up to clear water but a fine dust looking stuff settled in the low spots of the pool liner. I was trying to find the source of the problem and was questioning my ladder. I usually drop a tab into each of the weight holes and didn't remember this year. Noticed some yellow around the steps and thought maybe that was what's been eating my bleach but REALLY didn't want to haul this beast out of the pool. I've been pouring bleach into the holes for the last week and it hasn't improved. I finally gave in and pulled out out and noticed the water was yellowish and the handles (which sit within the yucky water are black. It doesn't respond to bleach and is difficult to scrape off. I'm wondering if the pea gravel within my ladder has some amount of iron in it maybe?
I've been thinking I've been chasing MA but I'm wondering if it's a possibility I have some ironish water leaking around the ladder that is causing the yellow.
I've never gone green in all my years thanks to this site but we just had to go to Disneyworld for a week during a heat wave.
Here's this for fun
