Walmart bleach- careful 6% vs 8.25%

On the Clorox website it states they are using this new CloroMax technology so they were "able" to reduce the amount of SH to 6.0% from the standard normal 8.25%.

Errr...... Isn't sodium hypopchlorite, well, sodium hypochlorite??? So how can reducing it's content let it stay the same?

Forgive me, I'm a chemist and like things to nice and simple, stochiometric and thermodynamic......

Dollar General store brand is also now 6%, where as last year it was 8.25%. The 3 pack of Clorox at Costco was I believe 6.05% where as last year it was also 8.25%. Food Lion store brand is still 8.25%.

Our local Food Lion hasn't had any of their brand bleach on the shelf for about 2 weeks. So when it was back on the shelf today I checked the label and sure enough it's now 6% :grrrr:.
