A diverter from the same manufacturer as the check valve should be used.

You have a Pentair 3 way diverter in front of the CV by the pump.

If that CV is a Pentair then you need to get a Pentair 2-way diverter, if Jandy then a Jandy 2-way diverter.

From the photos it appears his check valve and diverter are both Pentair so he should be good to use what's there on both pumps.

WBW, speaking of unexpected freezes; this was my greeting this morning. You'll get a kick out of it.

It looks like it could dip into freezing weather starting on the 21st. It's a long range forecast, but I just drained my irrigation RPZ valve and covered it. I drained the RPZ on the autofill as well (not covered).

Yeah, just looked at the weather online, in the high 20’s at night.
