We have a 20k gallon pool with Pentair HS and VS pumps. The HS pump runs the in-floor pool cleaner. I am trying to figure out programming the two pumps for max efficiency. Pool guy had them both running 8+ hours and killing my electric bill. I've read through the site, but have not encountered a similar setup. Any help much appreciated.

Assuming you have no heater and no SWG. I'd run your VSP and a low speed and duration that gives you the skimming and filtering. Might adjust it down to lowest speed that gives you good skimming.
Run the HS pump for the duration that gives you satisfactory floor cleaning. Or, get a robot and don't use the IFC to save $$ on electricity.

How often do you actually 'need' to run the In Floor Cleaning System (IFCS)?
Does your pool have wall returns, or is all the return water sent through the IFCS??

Thank you for the replies. No heater, no SWG, no water features - just a basic pool. Four wall returns in addition to the IFCS. The IFCS does a pretty nice job, so I would like to stay with it. I would have to experiment to see exactly how often I "need" to run the IFCS, as it has just been running daily. Pool tends to stay pretty clean unless there is wind, which isn't often here.
