Volley Ball court or Horseshoe pit

That's great news. You do need to continue to SLAM though. Keep FC at shock level, which is FC of 20. Try to test every hour or as often as you can. Each time it dips below 20, get it right back to 20. The more you do that the faster the SLAM will be. Do this until you pass all 3 SLAM criteria.

No need to test anything else other than FC and CC during SLAM.

The cloudyness is likely dead algae. Youre killing it, but until it stops getting cloudy it's still there. Keep pump running 24-7, until it's cleared up.

It is just a waste of chemicals and test reagents. I would not even consider doing the OCLT until your water is crystal clear (deep end). When I say clear I mean clear! Post a picture and we will let you know if you are clear. Your idea of clear may not be a TFPer's clear.

I agree that you don't need to do OCLT until your pool is clear and CC is below 0.5. The only real benefit of doing so is it let's you track how much you lose each night. Hopefully you see that you lose less and less until you pass.

Yea, spinPHD, I was just curious as to where I was in the SLAM. I am starting to understand the results of the tests. However, Taylor should offer a extra SLAM reagent package. I think I will be alright on the buffer, but the reagent is running low to the point that I am not testing every hour. I ordered more yesterday from Amazon, it won't be here until next week. But I found a Leslie store that has it near me and I am going to pick up some more on the way home tomorrow. I always tell my mechanics at work that understanding something is like a dimmer switch. At first the light is off, as you begin to understand the grows brighter until it is fully bright. I think mine is about 1/2 way to trouble free.......

Make sure the regent you buy from Leslie's is not expired! I bought 2 oz R004 from them an it expired in 2/2017 lol! So back it's going tomorrow.

Ok, folks. Tomorrow will be a week I have been SLAMMING!! Is THIS NORMAL?!? It is clearing, but it seems to me that it is taking WAY TOO LONG!! What am I doing wrong? How about sand? Are there different grades of sand? It just seems like it isn't filtering correctly......
