Virginia startup help needed

Hi all,

Any recommendations for a pool service in Northern Virginia that can assist with initial startup for a new pool? PB, unfortunately, is AWOL. Pool has pebble finish and was plastered last week. Discovered no wiring had been run for the equipment; it is in now but neither I nor the electrician knew how to turn on the pump etc (and apparently there are plugs that need to be removed). I already ordered the TF-100 startup kit complete with whale wall brush but won't have it until next week.

I think I can handle the pool if I could get someone to show me the pool 101 stuff.

Thanks in advance!

HI! We can help you I bet! At least on the water start up. Someone might even be able to help you with the equipment.

For the water-Did the PB add anything to the water that you know of?

I am not sure a pool service is what you need. It sounds more like you need an electrician that knows pool equipment. Once you get it wired up I bet we can help you get the pump running.

Hi Kim,

Thanks! The pool was filled by a water truck and nothing has been done to it. The electrician wired the equipment and it seems like it would work fine but the pool plumbing is "plugged" to prevent water from getting in and freezing (ie before the pump was running). I did brush the pool carefully (after watching a youtube startup video, don't laugh!) but really need to get the pump going. I also would like a pool service (or someone knowledgeable) to look at the setup and make sure it looks ok.

Congrats!

Go here to register your pool and they will send more detailed start up for your pool and finish, Product Registration Pebble Tec

If the PB never finished up then they probably left the plugs screwed into the bottom of the skimmers. The plugs unscrew to allow flow to the pump. The rear pipes, away from the pool, will be the pipes that go to the pump.
