Vertical uprights starting to rust

It’s almost pool season! We noticed that rust had started forming on our above ground pool’s verticals uprights at the end of the summer last year. It was only about 3 months that it was up... Does anyone know what we could use to prevent/stop the rust? I was thinking https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/stops-rust/clear-enamel this clear enamel from rust-oleum. Thanks!

A light sanding to remove the rust first. Paint it with primer followed by the color of your chose. Rustoleum is a good product.

Mine just rusted out completely at 2 yrs.. i just replaced it with an entirely new pool and i sprayed the poles and T connector poles down with anit rust clear paint ..i hope it helps.
