Looking for some opinions on what is acceptable for a pool krete(vermiculite) bottom for vinyl liner pool in Minneapolis/St Paul area. Talked to 3 builders who said this bottom should be torn out and redone. Pool builder claims it is just fine. We have 4”-5” depressions between high spots. No defined pan in the deep end and no defined lines where walls and floor come together. Deep end is not 8’6” and shallow is not 3’6” as our contract states. I’m told this cannot be “corrected” and needs to be redone completely. The company has been using a wire brush on an angle grinder to level the high spots. I’m also told the liner will not fit properly and we’ll see and feel all the imperfections. Please help!!
