Hi all,
I just recently installed this Vari-Speed motor controller for my air blower as suggested in the Wiki article: Amazon.com
This was actually my second install since I immediately blew the first one after connecting it ACROSS the load because I didn't read the directions. LOL So, let this serve as a warning to anyone looking to do this mod. The controller needs to be installed on ONE AC leg and not across both.
It works great now! I have much more control over the amount of air being blown into the spa and no more water violently coming out!
I also ended up designing and 3D printing a custom housing for it as well. I'm attaching the stl file as well if any is interested in trying it. I used threaded inserts on the handle to connect it to the face, but you could just use bigger bolts and bite into the handle.
