Suddenly the side menu is gone from the main page and forums. Hitting the 3-line icon on the upper-right corner just brings a pop-up menu. The photos below are illustrations of both. Any way to get that menu back?

You have to hit the small 3 line sandwich right next to the one you circled
I did hit that, it was at the time resulting in just a popup menu, that would then disappear.
For whatever reason, the permanent sidebar menu is now mysteriously back. Who knows?

Internet Explorer was suddenly not showing the side menu. I opened TPF in Chrome to make sure I wasn’t going crazy.
Some time later, the side menu reappeared on IE. I have no idea why.

The IE window was probably sized a bit larger for the menu to be statically displayed.
Well, now I feel silly. That was exactly it: TPF collapses the menu should the window’s real estate be downsised enough. (I thought I’d done something to vanish it for good, and was trying to undo it.
