Hello TFP Experts,
I will be replacing an old leaking DE filter with a cartridge filter. In ground pool approx. 38,000 gallons.
The piping into and exiting the filter also will be replaced due to differences in positioning and port size.
Current piping between the pump and DE filter inlet includes a Jandy valve normally open except during
backwashing.
For cleaning, the plan is to remove and hose down cartridges periodically and drain filter body as needed.
Existing valves in the supply and return lines would be closed. Would this be sufficient to isolate the filter
and allow a direct line from pump outlet to new filter inlet without a valve in between?
Thank you for reading and your advice.
