Hi from Denmark

I have followed the guide and advice found here on troublefree pool. I have clear water but keep getting green dusty algea on the bottom if the pool is not being used despite having chlorine at a high level.

I have a round 11000L above ground pool. I have a s&f 300w pump with a capacity of 5200 L/h. The pump is running 8h a day (9 - 17). I have swg that runs 5h a day. Temperature is 24 Celsius.

My values are free chlorine 6,0 - ph 7,38 - cya 34 - alka 100.

Why do I get algea with theese values?

Welcome to TFP!

The green dust in likely algae. The only way to be sure is to complete an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. If you lose over 1 ppm of FC overnight, you'll need to complete the SLAM Process. Can I ask what type of test you have? Take a look at TFP recommended test kits and see if they may be available in your area of the world.

There are some maintenance tasks that must be done on a schedule. Are you brushing/vacuuming the entire pool at least weekly?

Even if you have an automatic pool vacuum, and you keep your chlorine at recommended levels, you need to brush the walls weekly to prevent algae from forming on the walls or floor.

You might want to look at Basic Pool Care Schedule, to guide you in maintaining your pool.
