Vacuuming with Filter in Garage?

Hello all! First time poster and pool owner. I have been trying to SLAM my pool for the past week or so, and I haven't been seeing too much progress. Whenever I test, my FC never drops too much (most recent test results: FC: 17.5, pH: 7.3, CYA: 40), yet my pool is still green and cloudy. I try to clean the (cartridge) filter once a day. I realize that the main problem is probably that I haven't vacuumed out the pool. The weird part about my pool setup is that it is in my garage. Does anyone have tips on how I should vacuum my pool, or if I should be doing anything different chemical-wise on my pool?

Thanks so much!

Welcome to TFP! Please try to share some pics of the following:
- Pool water from a couple angles
- Equipment pad in this garage location; various angles see we can see all plumbing, valves, etc.

Also be sure to update your signature with all of your pool and equipment info as well. It helps tremendously.

Getting as much debris as possible out is important.
Brushing and or vacuuming the pool each day is recommended.
This breaks up the biofilms that algae produces to protect itself from chlorine so the chlorine can kill it.
You also want to leave no stone unturned on your cleaning mission.
Scrub Skimmers, drains, ladders (inside & out), light niches & flush unused lines and all water features daily. If water can go there, algae can thrive there.
Awaiting your pics 🤩

Thanks! Here are some pics. I guess I need to do better at brushing...
