I currently have a 3/4 HP pump with a suction cleaner attached directly at the skimmer (just moved so equipment in sig is wrong) also have a Skim A Round skimmer attached between the skimmer and cleaner. Problem is, not quite enough suction to run both....so once a week before work I turn skimmer off so cleaner can do it's job.

The pool has a capped off what I believe was a line for a booster pump. I am about to replace all pad equipment but not sure best route to go. Also the main drain line is shut off to divert all suction to skimmer.

New equipment includes Pentair Superflo VS pump, Pentair Clean and Clear 200 Filter, Aquarite SWG.

1. Keep plumbing as is and hope pump can run cleaner and skimmer from skimmer suction line.

Not sure if below two are possible or advisable

2. Plumb in capped off line to suction side and using a valve with timer divert suction couple hours a day to dedicated line and otherwise pool runs as normal.

3. Plumb in capped off line to pressure side and using a valve with timer divert water going back to pool couple hours a day to dedicated line to run a pressure driven cleaner

I actually have a Polaris robot already and it worked great on my old pool but it was open...no screening. New pool is in an enclosed Lanai and doesn't get nearly as much debris. I like the idea of just leaving a cleaner in and forgetting about it.

Robot needs to be emptied and probably not the best idea to swim with an electric powered device in the pool.
