Vacation for 3 days - use the pucks?

I'm going out of town and pool will see 3 full days with no chlorine added. I run my pump 2 hrs in the morning and 2 hrs in the evening on a timer.

I use 10% liquid chlorine approximately 1 gallon/day. I drop to about 3.5-4ppm FC and the gallon gets me back to ~7 every day. CYA is 40, ph is 7.8.

Can I use pucks in a floater while I'm out of town? How many? I've read to tie it up to keep it away from my walls. Thanks in advance.

I don’t think the pucks will be viable as they take so long to dissolve (I floated 4 of them when I started filling after replacing the liner and they took 2 full weeks to dissolve). You may be better off raising to SLAM level right before you depart.

I would agree with Jason in this scenario. Just crank it up to SLAM level and enjoy. Should be fine for just 3 days.
