I have a side suction port I don't use (I have a robot cleaner instead). It hooks up to a jandy valve along with the skimmer/drain pipes. The waterfall is also on a jandy valve with the return jets. I would like to pick up an additional pump dedicated to the waterfall, and run the intake from the side suction directly to the waterfall pump. I'm guessing I need some sort of basket to catch any debris before entering the pump. Are there any potential problems anyone sees with this setup?
