UPGRADE from jandy Rs8 (with PDA & OneTouch) to iAqualink

I have an older Jandy rs8 with OneTouch controller (which is dying) and a PDA remote. I purchased an iAqualink upgrade kit to replace my rs8 board and older wireless jboxes.

I don't see any issues with the wiring and installation. I do have a concern about reprogramming the new iAqualink.

What steps can I take (or notes/photos) before I remove the old rs8?
Has anyone documented the upgrade and posted a report? (I looked but didn't see any yet).
Any advice before I start?

TIA!

Main thing is to document the AUX ports and where they go before you swap the boards. Are you just replacing the small board or the main board too?

Label every wire before you disconnect it from the board.

Note with pics where the Aquapure, Aquacal, and your two pumps are connected.

Document the devices connected to each AUX relay, your schedules, and any valve actuators. If you have color LED lights document what type they are set to.

You can review the existing programming from the menu and take note of the settings if they are not going to be changed. You will have to manually enter them into the new board. You will also have to tell the system what type of pumps you are using in the setup menu.
