I just tested my pool again this morning. I plugged in my rests from my Taylor 2006C kit to pool math and I am a little confused about a couple of readings from it. Herr are my numbers.
FC 10 ml= 10 DROPS X .5= 5 ppm
CC 10ml = 2 drops x .5= 1 ppm
PH = 7.4 ppm
CYA= 90PPM
TA 25 ml= 11drops x 10= 110ppm
Cal Hard 25 ml= 30 drops x 10 = 130 ppm.
When I plugged them into pool math I got the following recommendations
For TA it suggested to get it down from 110 to 70 by reducing the PH to 7.0 to 7.2 with Acid then aerate to increase PH. What acid should I use and what does mean by aerate?
But on my PH test is says to increase it from 7.4 to 7.6 by adding 10 Oz. Of washing soda. To get it to 7.6. So I am totally confuses on what I need to do for my PH.
My final question is on the calcium Hardness. I just tested it an I haven't been testing it like the others but now it's at 130 ppm and the pool math says it should be at a target of 450. And to raise it I should add 30 lbs of calcium chloride. How do I add that and is that something I need to check daily?
Would I have to wait to bring all of these up to the recommended levels before swimming?
I added screenshot of my pool math test. Any help provided would be appreciated..
