I just recently opened my pool and it is green. I have never had a green pool upon opening before so I am unclear as to what happened. All of my levels are where they need to be, so I have put 5 gallons of shock in. Pump has been running 24/7 and the water has changed from a dark green color to a very light blue/green color, and it is very, very cloudy. Cleaning and changing the filter cartridge daily. I cannot see the bottom to vacuum up dead algae. Should I use clarifier or flocculant? Or just keep doing what I am doing. Getting frustrated as it has been 5 days now.
