Hello all
I found this minutes ago on the pool's floor, and I can't see where it belongs.
It's either from my Betta solear skimmer, or my Explorer 30.
Looking at both devices, I can't easily tell.
Might someone know?

15,

The flap covers this opening in your robot...

Thanks,

Jim R.
I put it on making sure to push the pegs in, and it looked set.
I put the robot in the water, and it came off within minutes.

Did i install it incorrectly somehow?

EDIT - I found other threads about it, and i will follow those instructions - to pull the pegs with pliers to establish a good setting.

Ok, my woes continue with repeated findings of the part at the bottom of the pool AFTER having seated the part in correctly an pulling on the pegs all the way through.
After installing it, I notived that it has quite a C shape to it; you can see it in both pictures. I pushed on one side with a finger to show how far it lifts up while installed. It doesn't sit flush with the hole, and I suspect that the front roller just yanks it out.

1. Is it supposed to be concave like in the first picture or flat?
2. If it's supposed to be flat, could I use a heat gun to maybe "iron it out" a bit?
3. Would the Marina Pool supply warranty cover this part? IMG20230910105543.jpg

These parts look damaged, so you should replace the part.

File a warranty claim if under warranty.

Thanks James.
It just fell again after having fixed it before posting.
Can/should I run the robot without the part on? It just won't climb, right?
EDIT - it does climb.
The pegs look alright to me, but you probably know better.

I bought it in April of 22, so I suppose it's still covered.
Would I write Maytronics directly? Yeah, right? Not Marina.

I found mine floating in the skimmer. I bought a new flap from Marina. It’s hard to get those numbs all the way through. I had to use a screwdriver from behind and needle nose pliers from the front. Finally got it to stay.

Looking at the peg @JamesW posted you can see the peg was not pushed in past the catch lip of the peg. You can warm the flap with a hair dryer and reshape it. Let it cool and push the nub/peg completely in so it can't just back out.
thanks wire
I did that on the last installation. I was able to push the pegs fully through, and I could pinch them with 2 fingers while inside to pull them all the way through.
I flattened the flap a bit, and I have spoken with Maytronics, but I'm curious as to the shape of a new one - is it concave or C-shaped, or flat.
