Unexpected results from adding boric acid

This morning I added boric acid and cyuranic acid to the pool. The readings before were FC: 6, pH: 7.5, TA: 90, CYA: 40. I added 15 lbs of boric acid duda diesel and 37 oz of dry stabilizer. Aftern5 hours the pH was 7.2, TA was 100. I didn't expect those to change. Was that unrealistic?

The dry stabilizer probably lowered your pH more than the boric acid.

They are both mild acids.

Thanks, I'm aerating now to get the pH up and CSI a bit lower.

With a TA of 100 I would leave it as is and the pH will rise naturally.
