Understanding CSI

I have my water balanced according to the information provided on this forum for an IG FG SW pool. Yet, when I enter my numbers into pool math, along with the pool water temperature my csi is 0.38. It indicates it potential to become corrosive to plaster. Since my pool is FG do I ignore the CSI?

Thank you to the knowledgeable people here my water is sparkling and a joy to swim in.

Addicted to running all tests on a daily basis, as I want everything to remain perfect. Trying to cut back on doing all tests everyday, but seeing the numbers gives me great satisfaction.

Always open to improvement if needed.

You have no plaster to corrode, so, yes, ignore it.

Also play with poolmath a little, See what happens when the pH rises.

Thank you Richard. I entered a PH of 7.8 in pool math and it changed my CSI to -0.17 which indicates balanced. Should I raise my PH to 7.8 with aeration or does it matter?

Testing everything everyday is probably not warranted then again it doesn't hurt anything.

Do you have any grouted tile at the water line or is it fiberglass all the way up? What is the TA of your fill water?

It'll rise naturally, especially with swimmers splashing. And then when it goes above 7.8 just lower it to 7.6 or so.

That would be a downside to daily testing However, there is a fix for that as well:

The CSI is -0.38, which is fine for fiberglass.

The ph should rise on its own. I would leave everything as is.

No tile, it's FG all the way up.

Actually going to order more reagents from tftestkits.com. I don't want to risk being without, as breaking my daily test habit will go slowly I'm sure..lol
