We looked at a lot of different materials and landed on this product - a moisture shield product. My favorite was a TimberTech, looked just like real wood - but it was very hot to the touch in the sun. The moisture shield product is hard to scratch and does not get overly hot in the summer. Downside is that it is likely to "bow" between the rafters a little.
