Unbalanced spa jets on new inground pool/spa

Wanted to see if anyone else thought these seemed unbalanced and not what new spa jets should be doing. We noticed that one jet sprays significantly harder than all the rest and there is one (right next to it) that sprays the weakest. We informed our builder and he came out to look at it and basically said no spa jets are even and that he suggests getting different faceplates that put back pressure on each jet and then the water will be diverted more evenly. I pushed back at that because it doesn't make sense to me that they shouldnt be more even to begin with. We even suggested calling their plumber to make sure nothing is in the pipes, we've had so many issues with the project overall.

That is not right.

Remove the jet nozzles and check for debris in the nozzle or pipe. There is often construction debris in the pipes that clog the nozzle.

Thank you, tried telling him that again and he is insisting to wait and see if the new jets he is getting from parajets will work. I appreciate your feedback

I agree with the above posters...

Removing the existing jets, and flushing the spa line, will remove the debris that are causing the problem..

UPDATE 11/9/24:

Pool builder brought out his plumber, he said that plumber agreed with the “normal” statement after doing basically nothing. Builder even went so far as to blame our seventh jet throwing off the balance. Laughable.

We performed our own test/inspection.

Our armchair diagnosis: the super strong jet seems to be missing its Venturi tee. So it looks like pool builder was right: the seventh jet is the reason, because the plumbers showed up with only 6 Venturi tees on install day. So it just vomits air and water.

One of the weak ones looks misaligned and is partially blocked by the faceplate.

Attached some poor photos. The one that’s gushing water is missing the hex Venturi thing. Two others for reference.

It may just be missing the nozzle. Those can usually be replaced. Pull one of the other out to get a part# if you don't already know what it is. You can use a 9/16" long socket wrench to remove the nozzle.
