Have you measured your CH level? Please post the result.

(instruction said add drops till red, but I am seeing more of a pink tint than red, hoping that is ok)

Turning pink is fine, you just want to keep adding drops until the last one does not change the "pink" color, then don't count that last drop.

The water is crystal clear and I am maintaining the Chlorine at 1-2 range.

For a cya of 35 ppm, your FC should never be below 3 ppm!
