Uic vs uoc on easytouch

I have the outdoor and indoor control panels and my firmware status shows uoc = 2.1.4 and uic= 2.1.5

How do I get them both the same? I assume one is indoor and one is outdoor? Looks like 2.1.6 is the latest from pentair

hey aaron, you are correct, 2.1.6 is the latest version, and uic is the universal indoor controller (uoc is outdoor)

to get them the same you'd have to update the firmware on them both... it requires some special hardware/software but nothing too crazy.

i have no idea what it would cost to pay the local pool guy to do it (if they even had the tools)

but i probably wouldn't worry about it unless you were having an issue that 2.1.6 (or 2.1.5 on the outdoor) is going to fix.
