OK, So our pool was finished filling last Friday night. So day one was Saturday...as of yesterday all of my chemicals were balanced pool was clear everything was looking great. Last night we had terrible storms roll through town tornadoes etc. Now, I can’t see more than an inch into my pool. Where do I start?

What does your chemical levels look like? Please post a full set of numbers in this order:

It's possible there is a bunch of debris from all the storms in the bottom of the pool.
But it will be best to know up from where the chemicals stand before anyone can really help.

OK, So here is the crazy thing...most of my numbers are exactly the same as they were yesterday before the storm except my pH has risen .3 or .4 from yesterday. Currently:
pH 7.5-7.6
FC 5-5.5
CC 0
CYA 80
TA 200.
Haven’t tested CH- read it wouldn’t change much due to rain- yesterday it was 190.
Been working on the TA with the MA aeration method. So since my numbers are basically the same as before the storm...I assume just brush, vacuum, filter, backwash and continue to test???

B_V, first thing that would help ... please update your signature with all of your pool info and equipment. Is your pool salt? That would explain the higher CYA. If not, then the reason your water is looking cloudy could very well be lack of bleach (chlorine) and algae is starting. Yes, the storms were wicked yesterday, but your water should still be clear. According to the TFP Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart, a bleach pool with a CYA of 80 should have its FC in the 9-11 range and never below 6. Otherwise ..... algae. If I were you, I'd lower the pH right away to about 7.2, then about 15 minutes after adding the muriatic acid, hit the pool with some regular bleach of your choice. I like HEB's regular Bravo, but use what you have and increase the FC to about 12 for today. Try to keep the FC elevated like that and see what it looks like tomorrow. Maybe it just needs a kick in the shorts. If the water is still cloudy tomorrow, maintain that FC and do an overnight test. Pool School - Perform the Overnight FC Loss Test (OCLT)
That will be the final judge. Other than that, your numbers looked pretty good, so I think the low FC is what's getting you right now.

Also, if you're using chlorine tablets, pull them out ASAP. They increase CYA like crazy.

Yes CYA is high for this pool as we have not yet switched over to the SWCG. Before the storm (like the day of the storm before it hit) water was clear. Our pool is brand spanking new and all around us is construction dirt that blew in the pool. It's all suspended in the water. I read about using flocculant to help with getting the dirt to the bottom for vacuuming. I am going to try that and in the meantime continue to lower my alkalinity with the MA/aeration method as well as raising the FC. Thanks for your advice. Just checked my FC is is now at 9. I'll work on getting it to 12.

Do not use a flocculant. You do not show any details of your pool in a signature and floc can be very problematic if used improperly.

If not done properly and allowed to get to the filter, floc will ruin your sand. That's a big reason we try to avoid it. If what you are seeing is simply suspended material from the area as you believe, give it time and the filter will get it. Typically new (SWG) pools won't start their SWG for about 30 days, and I see you have increased the FC level with bleach 
. Just continue to manage your FC level as a non-SWG pool until you are allowed to start the SWG. The last thing you want in a new pool is algae, and if the FC is allowed to drop too low based on your elevated CYA, algae will try. Especially now that out temps are trying to climb. Enjoy your new pool!

Thanks for your advice. I’ll give it some time and let the filter do it’s job!
