Turning on Water heater

Hi Guys,

My first post here. We just moved in new place which has pool that we opened yesterday. We clean it up (vacuumed it as well ran the fiter for 24 hrs). The pool is cold right now and we have a heater. I was wondering if I need to call a technician to turn on the heater or can it be DIY?

Can you post pics of the heater? Is it winterized? Does it have power?

I am not if it has power. I think it was winterized. Attaching the pic

I can see from that pic that your gas is off (crank handle to the left). But the water looks to be flowing through the heater. I would turn on the gas and electric and see if you can turn it on yourself. That is all a service would do. Winterizing consists of shutting off the gas and electric.
