i have a ruffly 10k gallon pool, 24 foot by 14 foot, vinyl liner, i have a single skimmer on one end of 24 foot wall and a single return on other end of that same wall, skimmer on deep end of course, pools 6 feet on deep end, 3 on shallow, i have a 1HP hayward pump, single speed, theres ruffly 7 feet of 1 1/2 inch pip from skimmer to pump and another 30 ruffly from pump to return, im trying to figure out how many hours to run the pump, the pump puts on 60 gpm at max rate, and the sand filter is rated a little higher, so there both about matched, from what i figured 3 hours would be enough, but taking in consideration the span has to go in return and how may be lower performance if filter is slightly dirty, would 6 hours be a safe bet to try? also there is always a solar cover on when not in use so not a lot of debree, and run a robot every 2 days, so in the end do u think 6 hours running pump strait should be enough?

I'd say more than enough. Try dialing it down 1 hour at a time, so try 5 hours, and see if it still looks good to you. If so, try 4, etc. I think your instincts are dead on and ultimately 3 may be the right number. Having the robot as well makes a big difference.
