Second season pool novice. 24' round above - ground. Should I trust the water testing and ensuing product advice of my local pool stores? Or is it possible the have me chasing my tail, real slick like?
Please consider ordering your own TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C test kit. Pool store testing, advice, and products are often times well off the mark and/or not required. You'll be much happier testing your own water. It's easy and reliable with one of those kits.
No, no you should not. They exist to test your water for "free" then sell you a bunch of junk to "fix it" but it keeps you in this endless loop until they ultimately tell you drain and refill. Then it starts all over again.
