Trouble locating or finding or even identifying rubber gasket and ring

It looks like the motor is available without the drive.

You can also get a non-Pentair motor with a drive, but it will probably not work with automation.

Note: I found the sellers using a Google search, I do not know if they are legitimate or not.
Do your research on the sellers before buying!

Thanks. I’ll do some research - I know there’s a lot of sketchy online retailers these days.

Can you show the front barcode sticker?

There are 2 different motors depending on when the pump was made.

When was the pump made?

The good news is that it looks like the motor comes with the slinger and the Motor Shaft Seal.

I got the new motor installed, replaced all the o rings, and I’ve turned it back on, but I feel like the pump is not filling with water. I’m wondering if I should expect it to take a little while, since I completely emptied and took apart the pump and also had some water loss from the filter?

Just a thought, If the motor isn't making enough noise now it will definitely be loud in 6 month and you'll never slip it by a home inspection.
Yes. I had that thought. And certainly a potential buyer who is familiar with pools would recognize that it didn’t sound right. I’ve replaced the motor and put it all back together with new o rings, but I’m worried about it taking a long time to prime. I feel like I’ve got it all back together tight and that there are no leaks, should it take a little longer to prime?

I do appreciate the help - between buying the motor and the loads of medical debt my family is dealing with due to three members of my immediate family suffering from health issues, now is not a good time for me to contribute financially. Once I sell my home we may become solvent and can donate then.

Can you see water being pulled in from the front opening?
Not at first, or at least it was very slow. I do know the impeller is moving. But I actually put the old basket lid o ring back on, because the new one I got in the kit seemed just a tiny bit loose. Once I started it up, it did finally fill with water, but once all the air had been pushed out of the filter cartridge, and I shut that valve, the water in the pump would go lower. So I’d open the filter valve again to let out air, pump filled up again. As soon as the motor stopped, the water drained out of the pump basket. So it primed but it’s not holding prime if that makes sense.

One thing I am going to do, if it’s not a total waste of time, is get some sealant and reseal all of the plastic pipe connections. I was thinking that maybe because I had to kind of jiggle the pipes around that maybe the old sealant cracked and now there’s places for air to get in or out?

Maybe a suction side air leak.

Maybe pictures of the pump and system might give us an idea of what the issue might be.

I turned it back on just now, pump basket filled up, I close relief valve and the water level dropped. I turned it off and I can hear the water just draining from the filter cartridge.

Is it just not gaining prime?

Any signs of a leak under the pump?

Maybe a video looking into the pump basket would help.

Is there enough water in the pool?

What happens in the skimmer when the pump is turned on?

I would suspect the lid O-ring or maybe the front union O-ring.
Would you believe me if I told you it was the o rings for the drain plugs on the pump basket? The ones in the kit seemed big, so I put some smaller ones on that I had, and now it’s holding prime. That freaking simple. Unbelievable.
