Been raining on and off for 3 days. We are getting the remnants of Debbie. My pool has never overflowed before but I am right at the coping. It is supposed to rain into the evening today with a good chance I'll actually overflow the pool.

Is it better to put the sump pump in and start draining or just let it overflow? I am not too upset with the rain filling it because my salt mark got overshot this year anyway it could use some dilution.

**added some pics because we got a lull in the wave of rain we are getting. I am 1/2" from overflowing. On the lighter side, my salinity is right where I want it! :ROFLMAO:

With the water level 1/2 up on the coping, I can see that my pool is dead on level.

Overflow might undermine the patio so I'd at least drain enough for some wiggle room if it pours later / tomorrow.

If you're sick of the rain and want nice weather, drain too much on the hopes the storm refills it and it'll be blazing sun in an hour. Because Murphy. :ROFLMAO:

Keep the water below the coping. Things arent waterproof above the tile line.

It looks like we are about done with rain so I am starting to drain.
