Tried searching to no avail. Any thoughts on the val-pak "Algae Gun"?

Looks like it's just a pressurized nozzle that attaches to your hose and pole. I have trouble imagining it would generate much pressure out of a garden hose. Anyone tried it?

Along those same lines, though, any thoughts on using a regular pressure washer? I've got a kinda-crappy electric one (yeah, yeah), but the hose and handle are long enough I could keep the unit safely away from the pool and still stand in the shallow end and try it on some black algae I've got growing in my pebble-tec.

Terrible idea? Or best idea? :)

Why? Chlorine is what kills algae.

And be careful with pressure washers on plaster, you can blast it right off.

I was mostly just thinking it could give a good head-start, since it doesn't seem like brushing does anything to the black algae between my aggregate. Hopefully it's doing enough that the chlorine can get in, though. *shrug*
