I just ran across something in a posting that mentioned "constant sand in pool from pavers". Are others finding this??? Freaking out a little (since I'm getting pavers installed TODAY).
We didn't have much from the original install but after I had to level some places the cheaper polymeric sand from the big box store doesn't stay in place as well and I now get some in the pool, not enough that I would worry about
I've had my travertine pavers since July 2015. I have not had any problems since they are set so close together. They were laid on a sand base, but no problems with that sand getting into my pool. I was told polymeric sand was used after setting, but I don't believe it was. I still plan to put polymeric sand in the seam places I can manage to fit it - mainly for some tiny pesky weeds I keep getting. I read that most big box stores' polymeric is not good quality. I'm going to use PolySweep polymeric sand from SEC. Hope this helps!
I was wondering the same thing about the paver sand issue. I had concrete pavers & they used regular sand between them, I think. It took a while for it to settle. I'm hoping the polymeric sand is a different story.
