Pool design almost done. We are having a rock waterfall added. Wife wants travertine coping due to it staying cooler in our Oklahoma sun, but pool builder says flagstone will look better with the waterfall.

Hard to find any good pictures that support the pool builders opinion. Anyone have any suggestions?

Show us a rendering of the pool design.
I have flagstone with waterfall and it looks fine.
You dont really walk on the coping that much so having it just because it is cooler not needed. What is the decking?

Still making some minor tweaks. Brushed concrete for the deck and we will probably add Kool deck finish to that. We have a existing cement patio this will be against and that gets super hot.

Given the layout with the deck behind the waterfall I do not think it will matter if the coping is flagstone or white travertine. Unless you plan to match the deck color to the flagstone coping.
At the end of the day, you and spouse need to be happy with it regardless of what PB and others suggest.

I guess it depends on how much time you think people will be sitting on the coping when using the pool. We have travertine coping and decking and we have been pleasantly surprised at how cool it has stayed in these hotter than normal days. We also had a flagstone walkway installed next to our decking and it gets nearly too hot to walk on barefoot while the travertine stays cool.
