Bought a house with an existing pool. It has a dual intermatic timer for the pool filter and the pool sweep/booster pump. IT ALSO HAS a Sta-rite timer system for the booster pump. My question is…..why do I need two timers for the booster/pool cleaner. It seems to me they would interfere with each other. Do I use one and not the other. Any input would be helpful. Thank you.

If you have two single speed pumps you need a timer for each.
You run the filter/pump for a different amount of time then for the cleaner booster pump. And you must have the filter/pump running before the booster pump runs.
