Too large pump

I recently move my pool equipment 50 feet further from the original location. Without doing enough research I purchase a larger pump (Hayward SP3215X20 TriStar Max Rate 2 HP Pool Pump). This has increased the pressure in my sand filter and occasionally created back pressure.
What are my options? I can't return the pump.

I'm a bit surprised it would be a problem. What PSI on the filter? Could you describe a bit more what is meant by 'occasionally created back pressure'?

Downsize the impeller.
