timing next tests

my question is, after adding muriad acid to drop the PH, how long do I wait before taking another reading to see if my PH is at proper level. I'm guessing 45 minutes...but unsure can someone please chime in ?

now what about adding stabilizer (sock method of course), im thing 24 hours, before I take another water sample to test CYA. Am I correct

That will work. If the pump is running and you brush the pool after adding the acid, 30 minutes will work.

Once the stabilizer is dissolved from the sock, test the CYA the next day.
