Hi. Probably time for a new salt cell, but would like to confirm I'm not missing anything. My T15 consistently reads salt level lower than measured by about 70-75%.
So questions:
Based on numbers below, is it time for a new cell?
If so, I'll just get a new T15. Any suggestions on a reputable company to purchase from? I've had mixed quality from Amazon.
Any specific procedures to get the new one running? Can I just plug it in to box and plug flow meter in and go?
Actual salinity is 3200 ppm using K-1766 drop test. And that level dropped as expected after 2 inches of rain last week.
Numbers from salt cell:
Off readings:
2700 ppm- Average
91 degrees
32.7 V
0.00 A
75P
0 ppm - Instant
Al - 0
r 1.59
t-15
Polarity 1:
2700 ppm- Average
91 degrees
27.4 volts
5.60 amps
75P
2100 ppm - Instantaneous.
Numbers are very similar when I flip polarity.
Numbers above are after I cleaned cell. I've never seen any scaling. However, I was told by installer to acid wash it EVERY time I performed maintenance. Realize now that probably shortened life span.
Cell Serial number: 3E16232
Box Serial number: 3A16235
Thank you!
