I recently had my pool drained and acid washed. There has always been a calcium line on my tile since I purchased the home, so I had the company perform a bead blast as well. I had hope the acid washed would take care of a few copper stains I had from batteries falling in the pool, but it had little to no impact. So this post is two parts:

What can I do to remove the copper staining?

Is there anything I can do to make the tile not have such a dull finish?

We are looking to sell the home, so extensive remodeling was not an option. I don’t have great photos of the copper stains, but I have attached what I have of the tile and stains.

Try this on your tiles.

You can use Jacks Magic #2 (sulfamic acid) to remove copper stains. But you will need to drain and refill the pool afterwards to get rid of the copper laden water.

Are you sure it’s copper? Did you test the stain to determine that?

As for the tile, hard to tell from the pictures but they looked damaged from the blasting process. Was glass beads used or was it kierserite media (epsom salt)? Do you have any replacement tiles to compare the finish with? Some types of tile can not be blasted or else they get scratches. Glass tile is notorious for this problem.

Are the tiles porcelain?

That's not copper staining, that is rust. You could try some ascorbic acid or just a few vitamin C tablets placed/crushed on the stain.
Rust is forever and will continue to go deeper into the plaster, but this might help:

Or, more aggressively,
