Tile for decking?

Hi everyone. I am building a pool and need to choose decking. The entire pool deck is re-inforced new build concrete - I find it hard to find information on if I can lay a regular thickness non slip tile for the decking? I am in a tropical climate - no freezing. Any thoughts on why all suggestions I see in my research say to use the thicker pavers (stone or porcelain etc)? Thanks!

Check out porcelain tiles made for the exterior, the are 3/4" thick.

Thanks - that's what I am thinking! Hopefully, there are no issues with not using pavers that I am not seeing!
