Yes, this is 100% calcium chloride. They also sell this at Home Depot if the shipping is too high.

Being from Marin, CA, I am surprised you even need Calcium Hardness increaser. I have done several refills over the years to remove CH.

My fill water reports 75 CH per the TF test kit. i'm considering it bc my hot tub is reading 0 CH so I figured i should increase it.
They want $34 to ship me the $24 bag.

I've gotten mine via walmart.com. Least expensive I found. Puritech. Free shipping (we are + members, so YMMV). About 40 lbs for under $70

Check local pool stores. This is the ONE thing I buy there, they sell in bulk however much you need.
Just bought 20 lb. yesterday for $30, so $1.50/lb.

Agricultural supply stores (like for farmers, not TSC) and concrete suppliers may have pure stuff for cheap. Some got lucky this year at $0.50 / lb.
